This Japanese inspired class will teach you the essential skills to sushi making. You will learn how to make 3 different rolls, whose techniques can be used in other rolls you make in the future.

Looking for a more adult crowd at Gen Con? Want your friends to be jealous of your sushi rolling skills? This class is for you. This Japanese inspired class will teach you the essential techniques of beginner's sushi making. You will learn techniques that can be used in any sushi roll you make in the future. You will leave ready to roll your own sushi. Part of this event will also include an informal subjective contest with a prize for the top three sushi rollers. Even if the event is sold out, feel free to stop by at the time of the event as we sometimes have extra ingredients and cancellations. Just make sure to bring the equivalent cost in generic or other event tickets. While scheduled for 2 hours, the actual event time will be slightly shorter, allowing the presenters time to setup beforehand and cleanup afterwards. Optional: bring your own drink and take home container.

This class will expand your repertoire past maki rolls to include sashimi, hand rolls & nigiri. You will learn proper knife skills, choosing the best fish, & presentation of the product.

This workshop will discuss the challenges and solutions to giving players the freedom and power to act and still run the game you designed for them in whatever time constraints you have, from the perspective of both game and scenario designers, game masters running the games, and the players. Participants can bring the issues they are dealing with right now in their games and we will apply the thinking and potential solutions from the seminar to those games and issues. We will break into small groups. This workshop will be fun, informative, and you will take away some solutions you can apply to your circumstances immediately. Lead by two-time regional Iron GM winner Alex Jackl, a Dark Phoenix Game Master, and someone who has been designing, running, and playing games for 34 years.
