This game retells the events of The Fall of Gondolin, the first story Tolkien ever wrote for Middle Earth. I'm using a mix of rules from The One Ring RPG and homebrew rules for mass combat.
Long Description:
The year is 510 F.A. For the last seven years, no spy or scout of Morgoth has been seen near the Vale of Tumladen. Healing from the bitter memory of war, the elves of Gondolin are celebrating a festival of peace called the Gates of Summer. As they await the sunrise on the high walls, a red light shinesnot in the east, but in the north where hidden gates bar all passage in or out.
Note that this is a combat-heavy adventure. All PCs are elf captains of elite skill and honor.
