This adventure is set in the northern Marches of Rhudaur in J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth approximately 30 years before the events of The Hobbit. This adventure draws heavily from early MERP products (though not MERP rules), so don't read through your back catalog of these classics if you don't want spoilers.
