Long Description:
As a group, players choose from a number of ancestries, from dwarf to elf, half-orc to human, while assuming the quintessential roles of cleric, rogue, fighter, and wizard. During a given Adventure, players will run into a variety of Encounters that they must defeat. These are not just fights in the wild, bringing anything from a sudden thunderstorm as an Uthul draws near or trying to talk their way out of a bad business deal in an arboreal city. As encounters are defeated, players gain gold theyll spend to acquire cards from a common market, such as a Spiritual Armament or a Shield Block. All of these increase their power throughout a given Adventure (the deck-building aspect of the game), while Omen and Narrative cards alternatively increase the pressure the longer the game takes and provide wonderful roleplaying opportunities. New players to the Pathfinder universe are encouraged.
