You and your companions had hoped for a restful evening after a long day of travel, but after a beloved tavern burns to the ground, you may be the only people qualified to determine what happened. Blame for the fire quickly settled on a traveler named Revan, a quiet, nervous mage, unfortunate enough to be passing through the magic-fearing region. Has the residentsÂ’ fear of spellcasters colored their judgment? Has someone set Revan up to take the blame? Is there a darker plot afoot? Without your intervention, the increasingly outraged and hateful mob may take vengeance into their own hands. This story is set in Verden, a world intersected by other planes inhabited by spirits and strange creatures. The session will feature character creation, ample opportunities to roleplay, an investigation and two combats.
