Long Description:
The harsh world of Athas is the home of the Dark Sun Campaign Setting. Athas is a metal-depleted desert world ravaged by reckless use of arcane magic. Bone, stone, wood, and obsidian are used to make weapons and armor. Many of the species typically found in other worlds do not exist, and those that do, are twisted into very different permutations on Athas. Strange sentient insect-like creatures called thri-kreen, roam the wastelands in hunting packs searching for prey. Dwarf-human crossbreeds called muls are commonly found fighting as gladiators in the arena and powerful beings called half-giants tower over ten feet from the ground. It is a world where most sentient creatures exhibit psionic powers of the mind and arcane magic is feared and reviled.
