We will expose participants to research that show the therapeutic potential of RPG game-play. Come and see how our work can help children and adults with a variety of disabilities enhance their lives.
Long Description:
Providing the research and evidence-based-practice information about how RPGs can enhance the learning experience, increase reading abilities, increase interest in many other ancillary topics, and how schools & libraries can help the community by providing encouraging locations for role-playing games. Program will alternate between presentation/lecture and hands-on activities with specific examples of different role playing game formats and products. Will also provide step by-step checklist handouts for program planning to help educators and librarians put together RPG-related programs, and helping them will completing example program plans. Also some basic checklists and information for special education and neuro-diverse populations.
