Roleplay the Cuban Missile Crisis from the view of JFK & staff. Despite Soviet assurances, offensive nuclear missiles arrive in Cuba. Do you attack, negotiate, threaten, or mobilize? Great intro game.
Long Description:
October 1962: reconnaissance flights photographed Soviet ballistic missiles being made ready in Cuba and indications of a huge build-up of Soviet forces on that imprisoned island, despite Soviet assurances that the relationship was economic only. These missiles carry nuclear warheads, are in range of all major US population centers and are unstoppable after launch. How do you respond to the most massive Russian overseas military deployment in history, targeted directly at you? Take a role in the senior US staff, such as JFK, Curtis Lemay and Robert McNamara. Find a path that advances our national objectives AND leaves us alive. A new, exciting, fast-paced interactive game presented by the National Security Decision Making (NSDM) Game staff, intended to entertain while maybe even teaching something. Two-hour fast action variant of NSDM’s political-military simulation. Limited attendance.
