2016 UPDATE: We have added "Gender-bent Cosplay" Categories! In the tradition of such classic movies as Big Momma’s House and Tootsie, Gen Con is proud to present its 2nd Annual Crossplay Costume Contest. Crossplay (a mix of “cross dressing” and “cosplay”) has always been a popular part of convention costume culture where attendees create and wear a costume featuring a character opposite of his/her gender. Our event is part costume contest and part RuPaul’s Drag Race - so it’s as much fun for attendees as it is for those competing. Complete rules are available online.
