Long Description:
The year is 879. Viking raiding parties from Norway and Denmark have been terrorizing the coasts of England. These raids began as small hit-and-run engagements, but the stories of the English wealth and rich lands have driven more Norsemen to join great hosts. King Alfred and a unified English gentry need to strike back in order to save their land. The great Vikings war has begun! Players control either the invading Viking armies, comprised of Norsemen and Berserkers, or the defending English King’s Housecarl, Regional Noble Thegn troops, and local peasant Fyrd levies. Vikings is an area control game for encourages teamwork as players from each faction work together to develop an overall strategy. 2-4 players.
