Build the Other World according to the fairies' wishes in this card drafting and tableu-building game.
Description:
In the Irish myth cycles, the land of Tir na nOg is the realm of the Otherworld, the place where the Fairies lived and heroes visited on quests. It was a place just outside the realm of man, off to the west, where there was no illness or death or time, but only happiness and beauty. Players will take on the role of questing heroes, building Tir na nOg according to Fairies' tricky rules. Each round, players will lay claim to cards in a unique straddle draft, placing their custom marker across multiple cards. After all players have placed their markers, they will draft a card and then play a card according to the rules of their tableau. At the end of 5 rounds, the player who has best pleased the Fairies will be invited to stay in Tir na nOg and enjoy eternal life.

Description:
This classic game of the Fantasy Monster Slug-a-thon is a standby from the The Avalon Hill Game Co of yore. The game still has a very devoted following, which is a tribute to the depth of the various strategies and approaches. The game is divided into two realms, the masterboard and the battleboards. On the masterboard, legions of mythical creatures roam about trying to recruit bigger and badder monsters and kill opposing legions in the process. When a combat occurs, the action moves to the corresponding battleboard type corresponding to the area the fight is taking place in. After lots of dice are tossed, the army that remains standing is returned to the masterboard with the spoils of war: points.
