This live version of Atomic Game Theory goes deep into the Seven Deadly Dilemmas & how we can understand them by playing board games, video games, & role-playing games.
Description:
The Seven Deadly Dilemmas of Game Theory each represent a core problem in fields like politics and economics. The game of Chicken leads us to mutually assured destruction, while the Volunteer's Dilemma explains why we sit quietly in class waiting or someone else to answer a question even though we know the answer. Instead of focusing on the math underlying these dilemmas, I'll demonstrate each of the problems using examples from popular board games, video games, and role-playing games.
There are many games that aren't often marketed as educational but are great resources for bilingual education. We will discuss why they are important for retailers and educators, and give examples.
