Description:
Samples of different types of thermal plastics will be present: Wonderflex, Classic Worbla, Clear Worbla, and Black Worbla. This will be very hands-on and participants will finish the session with enough experience to confidently craft items out of thermal plastic.

A discussion focussing on the identity and entrepreneurial aspects of cosplay and how this might be integrated into business, theatre, crafting, or costuming programs.
Description:
In this discussion, we'll go through some of the research that I conducted with professional cosplayers in regards to identity and entrepreneurship and how what we learned from that study might be integrated into a business or theatre/crafting/costuming programmes. All is not as it seems in cosplay identity and entrepreneurship, creating opportunities for business, theatre, or crafting programmes to integrate or create new and innovative unit offerings.

Advanced techniques such as angled cuts and the use of contact cement will be covered. This will be very hands-on and participants will finish the session with enough experience to confidently craft items out of EVA foam.

The annual costume parade returns to Gen Con for 2022! Muster outside Hall A beginning at 3pm. Cosplayers may join anywhere along the route. Spectators welcome!

Plan to cosplay but don't want to enter the contest? No problem! The parade is a great way to gather with fellow cosplayers and show off your costume. Muster outside of the Hall A entrance near the West Street Plaza at 3pm and anyone in costume may join the parade anywhere along the route. Details on the Parade Route can be found on the Costume Contest page of the Program Book. Spectators are welcome, but we ask that you remain mindful of blocking any pathways and are respectful to those marching in the parade. Cheering is encouraged!
