The presenter draws from ludology, or the study of games, to describe how concepts such as game constraints, the risk/reward cycle, the theory of fun, uncertainty, and cooperative challenges build student confidence and inspire teamwork.

Gnomish artificer Maestro Migglesquirt has been mocked for too long, and he’s finally snapped! He’s taken over the workshop with his construct army - now get in there and defuse the situation!

They never took him seriously. Whether it was his gnomish whimsy, his tendency to make playful toys, or his absurd name - everyone took Maestro Migglesquirt for granted. So maybe he was passed up for promotion one too many times, maybe the years of ridicule finally wore thin, or maybe there was a darker secret at play - whatever it was, Maestro finally snapped. Now - the laboratory is overrun by Migglesquirt, his minions, and a terrifying mechanical weapon! Your task is to quickly and quietly handle the situation - will you brave the artificer's laboratory overrun by constructs and finally face down the Mechanical Monstrosity of Maestro Migglesquirt? The adventure author will be the Gamemaster for this session! This four-hour D&D 5e adventure is for Tier 1 characters - you may bring a character or use one of our 3rd level pregens.
