Then this panel is for you. Join us for a game design focused discussion on how the mechanics of D&D work, how they guide player actions, design choices, game balance, systems construction and more. For veterans, you’ll come away with a better understanding of the game you love. Interested but never played? Come learn all the D&D in one hour! Presenter Geoffrey "GZ" Zatkin is a game designer with over 20 years of experience in the video game industry. One of the original designers of EverQuest, and co-founder of game data giant EEDAR and game development studio Experiment 7, Geoffrey is also Extra Credit’s resident ne’er-do-well and studio director.

Join a variety of in world and out of world game designers in a moderated chat fireside. Confirmed Game Designers include Eddy Webb of Pugmire, Tim Beach of Beach House Games and Remnant from Studio Dire. After this event, feel free to wander through the experience. If you’re going to miss meeting in person at Gen Con this year then participate with other gamers in this virtual Gen Con experience event using an avatar all your own. This is an immersive pilot-scale proof of concept initiative built on the Linden Labs Enterprise edition of Second Life. Register early – space is limited. Linden Labs Enterprise requires players be 16 or older.
