Summary:
Fall, 1774. Unrest brews in the Colonies. Muggles are headed for war, but Ilvermorny welcomes a gift from allies at Beauxbatons - the new Statue of Wizardry. Can wizards stay out of muggle politics?
Description:
Fall Semester, 1774. Ilvermorny nears 150 years of teaching the wizards and witches of the Colonies. But unrest brews among the muggle governments (nomages, as some are now calling them). The new term is ‘Americans’, and they seem headed towards war with the British. But the wizarding world almost never gets involved in such things. At Ilvermorny, students and staff look to welcome a wonderful new gift from their allies at Beauxbatons - the towering Statue of Wizardry. With the protections the new statue can offer the school, will the wizarding world be able to stay out of muggle politics? New players and costume welcome, no experience or costumes necessary. Some mature themes, so mature players only please. A BYOV Potter-fest. Find us, and a cast list, at BYOV.com. Early character requests welcome.
Just decades after the North American wizarding school was founded, No-Majs decimated the community in Salem. A Transfiguration tournament brings magical folk from far and wide to the new academy.
Description:
The Salem Witch Trials are in full swing, and Ilvermorny's doing its best to keep everything normal. This year, that means hosting the annual Transfiguration Tournament, where older students from all houses compete in front of guests. The newly-formed MACUSA has sent representatives, as have a few familiar institutions, and the clever contestants are making the most of the exposure. There's no shortage of hijinx to be had!
Players become builders in Egypt; over 6 rounds, they move wooden stones by boat to create 5 seminal monuments. Using the expansion: A New Dynasty.
Description:
Players become builders in Egypt who want to emulate the first and best-known architect there, namely Imhotep. Over six rounds, they move wooden stones by boat to create five seminal monuments, and on a turn, a player chooses one of four actions: Procure new stones, load stones on a boat, bring a boat to a monument, or play an action card. While this sounds easy, naturally the other players constantly thwart your building plans by carrying out plans of their own. Only those with the best timing - and the stones to back up their plans - will prove to be Egypt's best builder. This event will use the expansion: A New Dynasty.
