This is the first in a series of "campaign-style" adventures for the Dark Ages Campaign Setting, a fantasy world inspired by the historical world of 8th-century Britain. There will be new character classes, new spells, and some (minor) modifications to the 1st edition rules.
As the name implies, Dark Ages is a world populated by mead halls, barbarian chieftains, elf-haunted forests, goblin-infested mines, lonely bogs, stony barrows, and more. The ruins of a more civilized imperial age can be found next to unthinkably ancient stone circles and forgotten cairns.
Players with surviving characters from The Plague Monks of Gwent Ys Coed will be given the option of importing those characters into this adventure, along with all the treasure the characters have amassed. Otherwise, pregenerated 3rd-level characters will be provided.
