A co-founder of Studio Cosplay will be giving a presentation on the prop-making process from adapting an image to adding finishing touches. Items discussed will include tools and resources for models and patterns; various materials such as thermoplastics and foam, found objects, resin, 3D printed components, organic materials; priming and painting options; details and lighting; considerations for carrying the prop at conventions; and showcasing your prop when posing for photos. Samples of props will be presented. Presenter bio: Stefanie Hackenberg has been cosplaying since 1998 and has been featured on prominent media outlets such as CNN and io9. You will create a dimensional 8" x10" wall clock themed from King's Cross Station and Keep Calm Posters. Clock will resemble the brick walls of King's Cross station in London, featuring a Keep Calm and choose your path poster. Inspired by Sherlock, Harry Potter, and Doctor Who Fandoms.
