This is a tournament for fans of the classic game. Bring your favorite classic cards from the first three sets and battle to be the very best!
Description:
The legal sets are Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, Wizards Black Star Promos 1-14, and reprints of those cards from Promos, Legendary Collection, Base Set 2, and Celebrations Classic Collection. Proxies are not allowed. The tournament will be played using the original rulebook from Base Set. The rules are slightly different from modern Pokemon TCG! See rules differences here: https://jklaczpokemon.com/pokemon-wotc-rules/ Copies of the rulebook will be on hand and event organizers would be happy to help with any simple rules questions. If there is a rules dispute, try consulting the rulebook. If your question is not answered satisfactorily, ask an event organizer for a ruling. Event organizer rulings are final. Rounds will be 50 minutes and best of one. Base-Fossil games can often take a long time! Players with a 3-0 record at the end of the event will win one pack of Celebrations.
