Fight choreographer and kungfu instructor Rick Stemm gives a two-part panel on martial arts specifically addressed to cosplayers. The first part will focus on practical self defense. This will include advice on moving safely, discussion of rights and awareness, and some useful, easy to remember self defense tips to diffuse situations, avoid unwanted attention, and control your personal space. The second part will focus on fight choreography fun - stances, techniques, and moves to show off those giant swords, wizard staves,and other cool costume weaponry that you might not know how to use. No previous martial arts experience necessary.
