The world almost ended 71 years ago. The plague came out of nowhere and ravaged the world. Most died within a week. Nothing could stop it. The world did its best. It wasn't good enough. For three generations, we, the last fragments of humanity have lived on the seas, on floating stations called "havens." Far from the plague, we are able to provide supplies to the mainland to keep them (and us) from succumbing completely. We've managed to keep a network of the largest known cities in the world alive. Things have been tough the past few years. Cities far away from the havens have fallen off our grid. Tomorrow, a small group of us head out into what's left of the world. We don't know what we'll find.

Description:
Barely a moon ago, an evil human cleric, known only as "the Rahib," broke into the temple that overlooks a peaceful elven village. He was looking for a treasure rumored to be there, but instead, discovered a lost secret. Since that time he has taken control of the temple, bending its students to his will, and none who have ventured from the village to investigate have returned.
Players seek to impress the Chieftain by raiding unsuspecting settlements. Players will need to assemble a crew, collect provisions and journey north to plunder gold, iron and livestock.
Description:
The aim of Raiders of the North Sea is to impress the Chieftain by having the most Victory Points (VP) at the game's end. Victory Points are gained primarily by raiding Settlements, taking Plunder and making Offerings to the Chieftain. How players use their Plunder is also vital to their success. The game ends when either only 1 Fortress raid remains, all Valkyrie are removed, or all Offerings have been made.
