In a new original setting created by Ball State Students inspired by the Moab Region of the Utah Desert, a deadly monster lurks. Sandstorms, cults, and strange new monsters have been threatening a small camp. They have reached out to the party to help save their settlement from ruin. The party finds themselves as heroes, tasked with slaying this brand new monster, and saving them from ruin. Ball State University students talking about their experiences in the Moab desert in Utah! Listen in and ask questions about collaborative storytelling, and how to apply natural landscapes to your fantasy worlds. How did our game change from pre-Utah to post-Utah, and how did our field work influence our module even further? This panel will be one hour in length and will feature a presentation on the module created by the class.

Students of Ball State University invite you to enter the world of Xallital, a fantasy landscape inspired by the national parks in Moab, Utah! After researching in class about the beautiful landscapes of Utah, students went out and got first-hand experience. This knowledge was applied to Dungeons & Dragons to create an adventure module for all. Players will explore cultures, fight deadly enemies, and travel across a new land all inspired by Utah's rich landscape. Some experience will be needed, but materials will be provided. This one-shot takes place in Xallital, a fantasy setting created by Ball State Students based on the Moab desert region! Join a harengon named Ournacasta and the rest of her team at Sunbay, and prove you're up to stuff through a gauntlet of tests and tasks. Along the way, fight bandit groups and survive extreme weather conditions. Pre-made characters and dice will be provided at the event, but feel free to bring your own materials.
