1590, the New World. Governor White returns after seeking help from England to find his colony...gone. No trace of 114 colonists remains. The colonists had been instructed to carve a Maltese cross into a tree should they be forced to relocate by threat. No such cross was found. Governor White did find three letters carved into a single tree: C R O. Carved into the wood on a post, he also found the single word CROATOAN. Now wind back the clock several months. Play as either a colonist, or one of several mysterious figures outside the doomed colony. Can you discover what really happened? Can you stop it?
