The Dreadwood is a more tranquil place than the name implies; for it was only named so due to the thick canopy it has - serving to make it somewhat dark even at high noon with a clear sky, and thereby somewhat dreadful.. One place does the name of the forest proper credit, however: a fell keep and tower, avoided even by the wild elves of the forest, and rumored to contain ancient, well guarded treasure.
