Can the Rebels destroy the Death Star, or will the Imperials obliterate the Rebel Base on Yavin 4? This epic scenario, with 3D models, is based on a variant of Dagobah Dave's Trench Run.
Description:
The Rebels have found the Death Star plans and identified a hidden weakness. Can they destroy the Death Star, or will the Imperials rewrite Star Wars history and destroy the Rebel Base on Yavin 4? This scenario recreates the iconic assault on the Death Star, and features the Red and Gold Squadrons as they assault the Death Star and make their trench runs hoping to send a proton torpedo down the exhaust port. This epic scenario will be played on a 3' x 6' magnetic Warmat, and features large 3D turbolasers. It uses a slightly modified ruleset based on Biff Denzer's variant of Dagobah Dave's Trench Run as posted on Boardgamegeek.com.
Death Star Trench Run - The Way It Should Have Been Done
Summary:
Ever wonder how the assault on the Death Star might have ended if all the Hollywood Fluff didn't get in the way? Find out in this "almost no special rules " version of the Trench Run mission.
Description:
In this mission, we do away with allot of the silly rules that attempt to replicate the Hollywood tension and drama, leaving only the raw tactics and strategy to determine the victor. No limitations on the number of ships in the trench, Rebels can take a gamble and enter the trench closer to the exhaust port, the TIE fighters can employ head on tactics in the trench or straffing runs from above the trench. Although the rules may be very loose, the goal is the same - the Rebels must attack the exhause port before time runs out. As the Rebel commander, how would you best employ sections of Red and Gold sqaudrons? As the Imperial commander, how best would you employ Black Squadron?

The Rebel X- & Y-Wings must fight their way down the trench & launch torpedoes at the exhaust port before time runs out. The Imperial TIE fighters must prevent this, crushing the Rebel scum.
Description:
The Rebels must survive the approach and long run down the trench towards the exhaust port, avoiding turbolaser fire, while being relentlessly pursued by Vader and his TIE fighter wingmen. Aggressively attacking the Imperial fighters will buy them some desperately needed time. The Imperials must prevent the Rebel fighters from firing upon the vulnerable exhaust port at the far end of the trench while remaining vigilant to protect the vulnerable power nodes on the Death Stars surface from certain destruction. The Imperials need only to delay the Rebels long enough to allow the power of the Death Star to eliminate the Rebellion once and for all. This is the latest version of DagobahDave's Death Star Trench Run (v3) that attempts to capture the cinematic action and tension of the classic film.
