This demonstration will introduce the Japanese martial art of kendo ("the way of the sword"), and show the equipment used, as well as forms and moves. Modern kendo not only reflects its origins rooted in the ancient samurai techniques, its own influence can be seen in modern films, such as Star Wars.

Join IIGoH, Andrew Parks as he discusses the importance of theme in games, and whether a design should begin or end with its theme. He will also discuss different genres of games and how theme is more or less central to each genre.
