The Severed Vale is a world cut off from the other Planes from a terrible event known as the cataclysm. Because of this, the world has become damaged and dangerous. The gods no longer contact their worshipers and the dead now rise with no ties to the underworld.
Try new monster PC's that have changed their ways and want to do some good in this terrible world or a new spell caster who harnesses the trapped souls of The Severed Vale to empower their magic beyond their normal means.
