Appalled by this, Avatar Shumai gathers a group of powerful benders to defend the lion turtles before the world is thrown any further out of balance. Avatar Shumai and his assembled benders comprise the player base for the game. Characters will seek out the elusive lion turtles and, once/if they find them, defend those creatures from the hunters. The Avatar universe, while often exploring mature topics, is lighthearted and accessible. As such, players are encouraged to be as silly (or serious) as they want with their character.
