Chess Tournament (Gen Con Indy 2009 United States Chess Federation Rated Open)
Description:
Everyone will play three games over a two hour period. Clocks and boards provided. Entry fee includes a "tournament" membership to the USCF. Prize(s) will be awarded.

Kings jump to take, move normally. Rooks, Bishops, Queens move once, and must move again at right angles to the first move without capture on first move. Knights switch places with pieces within two spaces. Pawns promote only to Kings. Pawns move and take forward like Knights, or bounce off friendly pawns to go backward, etc. En passant is complicated. Good luck! GM Fred Lange.
At last, a national tournament for all the Express Chess die-hards out there. Sealed Deck match play multi-round tournament using space/safari decks. $120 1st/2nd prizes.
Four-round Swiss chess tournament. Clocks and sets for sixteen players will be provided.This is not a USCF rated event, but the 1999 annual list will be used to seed players.Time control is twenty minutes for each player in each game.Touch move, touch take.
