Police Chief James Gordon has asked the Riddler to identify a statuette, made of an unidentifiable stone. The statuette simultaneously resembles an octopus, a dragon and a human caricature with rudimentary wings. 'I know this stone', the Riddler says, 'Loathsomeness. Trapped behind enemy lines, lost in the Bayous of Louisiana and running for their lives, these surviving Union troops must escape before they fall prey to the Rebel forces. That's the least of their problems. Terror has decided to scratch back.
