This is our most popular event for all ability levels. This casual game plays continuously all convention & allows players to come & go as their schedule allows.
Description:
In Grinder you start with the lowest level mech with the most basic equipment. When you die you move up to the next level which contains mechs with slightly more advanced equipment. Through this progression you learn how to use all the common equipment in Battletech. This game is not paused or restarted at event breaks, we just add/remove players and collect tickets for those continuing then continue play without resetting the board or players continuing on into the next session. Sign-up for as many blocks as fit into your schedule (even if they are not contiguous), you will receive a report card as a way to sort of "save" your progress so you can come back later in the con and continue playing. All ability levels are welcome but if you have never played Battletech before it is recommended that you play Battletech Bootcamp first.

The most challenging Battletech Tournament. 3-round, non-elimination. The winner is determined by the total score after all 3 rounds.
Description:
Full rules are available at bg.battletech.com/information/ Players will play in all 3 rounds even if they lose a round. Rounds are played back to back in one big event ticket. Each player gets a mech pair for each round from that round's list and plays against one other player who also has a mech pair from the list. Each round new pairings are assigned. Rounds will be played on mapsheets. This year's force list choices and bonuses are not published beforehand.
Old school, when lives were cheap & 'Mechs expensive.
Description:
This classic scenario will be played using Total Warfare rules but in the same team on team format that our old feature events use to be played as. Experience is recommended but it is completely fine to have not played since the 1980s/1990s when the game was new. This game will be replayed in Alpha Strike later in the evening.
Fight your sibkin from Clan Snow Raven for the glory of the Howe bloodname.
Description:
A 5 round single elimination tournament. You will face off one to one against another proud Clan Snow Raven warrior. Upon defeating your opponent, you keep the mech that they piloted to potentially use in future rounds. After being eliminated any excess mechs that you have, you get to keep. Contestants eliminated in the first round will have a selection of Battletech Mech Blisters to choose from in lieu of keeping a mech from the contest. The overall winner also gets the bloodname of Howe.
Our premiere event! Come play with the creative forces that bring the whole Battletech universe to life!
Description:
This is a great opportunity for fans of the Battletech Universe to actually play Battletech with the authors, artists, developers, and other movers and shakers who bring Battletech to life. 2 masters play together as a team against 4 players. Each master gets 2 mechs while each player brings 1 (we will print your record sheet on site, please check our website for information). This creates a game of 4 mechs on 4 mechs which will be played on 2 hex boards. Players also have the opportunity to keep the minis of mechs of the masters that they kill. Players do not need to bring their own minis to the game (they can if they like, but the masters will not keep the player minis if the master kills the mech). This year master teams will be listed as competitive or casual so we can better match up the level of play desired by the players and masters.
