Techniques will be demonstrated and samples of each material type will be available to examine. Materials covered will include: Open and closed cell foam, thermal plastic, leather, wood, polymer clay, cardboard, fiberglass resin/Bondo, found or repurposed objects, and basic electronic components. The goal of the workshop is for participants to gain enough knowledge of materials, tools, and techniques that they can begin to fabricate their own high quality cosplay items.

Learn tips for photographing cosplay on the con floor. Our focus will be on utilizing the available light, filling the frame with what's important, eliminating unpleasant backgrounds/distracting elements, and techniques to maximize your brief time with busy cosplayers. Nothing in this workshop is camera specific and all are welcome. You only need to bring your camera if you have specific questions, in which case please bring your camera manual as well. Workshop will include a Q&A session to address your specific questions.
