Join seasoned 13th Age designers to build a brand-new monster that takes advantage of the game's mechanics to deliver some nasty surprises at the table.
Try a new take on an old game. Discuss what you love about co-op games and learn a co-op rules set for Uno.
Description:
While competition is valuable, we have come to the realization that co-op styles games are great tools to teach teamwork, logic/planning, and fostering community and cooperation in groups. Whether you are looking to dip your toes in the co-op pool, breathe life into games collecting dust, or just try something new and weird - you should find what you're looking for. We'll start as a group discussing co-op games and why there is so much power in a shared experience. Then we'll look at a co-op take on a classic - Uno. Bring a deck and try a round (either with your in-person group or virtual groups). You'll get a copy of the rules to take with you. We'll finish with some feedback/suggestion time on how the game (and others like it) can be improved.

Summary:
Come make a shadow puppet of your favorite cryptozoological creature. Participants will learn to make a jointed puppet constructed for easy & fluid movement.
Description:
Don’t rely on grainy, out of focus, photos to prove what you saw in the wilderness. Show people what’s what with a shadow puppet of that mythical monster. I’m sorry, I mean that very real animal you know exists. This class will teach participants how to construct a durable, multi-part puppet that exhibits smooth, deliberate, & engaging movement. Students will be provided a PDF pattern & materials list. Everything you need can be found at a craft/office supply store or on amazon. You probably have most of it already at home. The class will be recorded & video made available to participants, so if you don’t have everything you need you can make it later. Materials- black poster board, brads (paper fasteners), xacto knife/blades, cutting mat, clear tape, craft wire, wire cutters, 2 wire coat hangers (or firm but bendable wire rod) or bamboo skewers.
