This is what it all comes down to. The final competitors from the Clans face their last challenges. The best of the best will be the Emerald Champion! Following these matches we will have a short presentation of new products releasing in 2007 and early 2008, as well as an Awards Ceremony for the winners of events throughout the weekend. Now is the chance for you to determine the next Emerald Champion. The winning Clan will put one of their own through the Test and win the treasured position. Great influence and power will be theirs!
During the Day of Thunder many amazing events occurred. The sacrifices of the Seven Thunders, as well as the bravery of Yoritomo, the tragedy of Matsu Tsuko, and others are well known throughout the Empire. But many samurai fought and died on the fields on the Imperial City that day. This tournament will bring to light the bravery of one forgotten. The winning player will select a character from his Clan who was alive at the Day of Thunder to receive a feature fiction.
The Clan that wins this Samurai Edition Sealed Deck tournament will have one of its young samurai (TBD by Story Team) to be among the first recruits to the new Emerald Champion’s forces as an Imperial Magistrate.
He is called by many names, but only one captures the essence of who and what he is: the Mad Dragon. Kokujin is his true name, and he bears within him a fragment of the soul of Togashi, founder of the Dragon Clan. The forces of order have united to destroy the Mad Dragon and end his anarchistic movement once and for all. The winner of this tournament will select a hero from their faction, and that individual shall be the one to face Kokujin for the last time before the Mad Dragon meets his destiny. Should the Shadowlands win, however, then Kokujin’s destiny will be far, far different.
