The game of Chicken leads us to mutually assured destruction, while the Volunteer's Dilemma explains why we sit quietly in class waiting or someone else to answer a question even though we know the answer. Instead of focusing on the math underlying these dilemmas, I'll demonstrate each of the problems using examples from popular board games, video games, and role-playing games.
