The “gods” have long held power, driven by their egos and the need to feed on the hopes, dreams, worries, and fears of mortals. Will you rise against them, or find new power in zealotry?
Description:
Galactic Dawn is a faction-based, sci-fi worldbuilding game that is told through collaborative narratives and notecards. This is a GM-less game that uses collaborative narrative resolution. The game has two goals: (1) to tell compelling stories during play and (2) to create a pile of detailed cards outlining the lore and history of people, places, and the themes that connect them. Players take on a dual role of pursing their own faction’s interests and collaboratively advancing the narratives of other factions and the universe at large. The end of the game leaves you with a detailed worldbuilding history with plenty of narrative hooks. Like Microscope meets Civilization, with no win condition.
"PEACEMAKER is a quickdraw roleplaying game where we play characters in a wild west showdown: the final confrontation to settle our dispute. We open on the finale of our feud — but we’ll play to find out how we got to this moment of desperate revenge through flashbacks. Together, we’ll create scenes about threats to the people, places, and things that matter to us most. Whoever wins a scene gets to decide the truth in the story of our feud.
At the end of the game, we’ll return to the showdown. All of the decisions we made in each flashback will colour the dramatic tension between us. We’ll find out what’s at stake, what your feud cost, and how it impacts our chances of survival.
To make peace, one of us needs to die."
