Cloud Empress uses the lightweights rules system, the Panic Engine, originally designed for Mothership to tell poignant stories in a land ruled by giant psychic cicadas, inspired by classic works of ecological science-fantasy, such as Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind. This adventure will be a short hexcrawl, investigating rumors of a new sickness sweeping over the Breadbasket. At the beginning of the session we will have a short rules explanation and create characters together. Players should bring 4 Pokemon into the tournament, but only 3 are used during each battle. Anyone without a full team of 4 Pokemon will draft from the pregenerated extra sheets provided by the Gamemaster. This is a swiss-style tournament, with prizes guaranteed for all participants! This event is an introductory adventure for Daggerheart. In it, the party will travel deep into the tropical jungle of Cuijara to find out what is keeping a much-anticipated group of tamed riding raptors from being delivered. These raptors can navigate the jungle terrain with ease, but that doesn't matter much until you can find out what's taking so darn long! Pre-generated characters will be provided to choose from and we will establish bonds at the table.
