Summer '75. Driving a stretch of lonely West TX highway; gas gauge is almost empty. You spot a sign promising "Gas and a Cold Drink!" Pulling off the freeway you get an odd feeling of being watched.
Description:
It’s the summer of '75 and you’re in West Texas during one of the worst heat waves the region has ever seen. Over the radio you hear the DJ say: “Welcome to another day in the seventh circle of Hell, with the mercury expected to top 110 degrees here on the Devil’s Backbone. Tomorrow ain't looking’ any better. As my ol’ grandpa used to say: You can't change the direction of the wind, but you can always adjust your sails to reach your destination. I don't know where you're headed, my friends, but here’s a little somethin’ to keep you rollin’ down the highway!” As "Roll On Down the Highway" begins to play, you get the strange feeling that you're being watched, but that's crazy. After all, who'd be out here in the middle of nowhere? The Highway of Blood is a scenario for Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition. It is set in 1975 and pays homage to the grindhouse movies of the time.
Afghanistan, Graveyard of Empires. To this day there are remote valleys that have never known a road. Places without name or purpose. And there are older residents - much, much older residents.
Description:
The longest war in American history wears on, with no end in sight. Afghanistan, The Graveyard of Empires. Great Britain and The Soviet Union abandoned their occupations. Ghosts of the fallen giants of history haunt these mountainous peaks and desolate valleys: Alexander the Great, the Mauryans, the Kabul Shahi, the Arabs, the Mongols, the Timurids. In times of war, when men turn upon themselves, Delta Green is drawn to the world's hollow and forgotten places. The history of Afghanistan traces back through the centuries to the Crusades, to the prophets Muhammad and Jesus, to the Great Enlightened Indian civilizations, to the misty dawn of Buddhism. To this day there are remote valleys that have never known a road. Places with no names and no purpose, but some families still recall the old secrets, the lost paths. And there are older residents-- much, much older residents...
