This 30 year+ tournament has long been considered the quintessential Cthulhu event. Each year differs in how it delves deep into horror. It attracts amazing roleplayers & excellent storytellers.
Description:
This is a tournament where the players are advanced each round. Each year is unique and has a different feel. Often the rounds attempt new and innovative ways to roleplay. The one constant is that the level of play is always at its best. Roleplaying is highly stressed. Sometimes rules are slightly changed (or even tossed out completely) for dramatic effect. Expect the unexpected, let the story take you away, and allow the horror to seep into your psyche.

Be prepared to unlock the gates to those hidden places deep in your mind. We may take you to unforeseen places. Horror theme probable but not guaranteed.
Description:
Every year the Novus team writes new rounds that sometimes just don't fit into the norm. They often explore themes and styles of play that push the limits of normal roleplaying. Sometimes these are more normal too but seem like a lot of fun to run.
Most of the GM's have been running con games for 25+ years and we love presenting odd and often perplexing experiences to our players. We are almost always more interested in character and story over rules.

On the remote fishing island of Huxley (pop. 214) the town's lone officer of the law is found brutally murdered. But folks on the quaint island just don't do things like that. Right?
Description:
On the remote Island of Huxley, home to one quaint fishing village (also called Huxley) and the Copernicus Observatory, the lone law enforcement official has been murdered - but not even “murdered in a respectable way!” No - he was brutally murdered in one of those liberal occult satanist things - leaving behind a sick, grisly crime scene that old lady Johnson had to clean up! No one on the island has the expertise to tackle a crime of this magnitude and so, begrudgingly, off Island ”townies” are called in to consult. And the one thing the fine folks of Huxley hate more than an occult like murderer is a lying, shifty liberal townie.
