The Battle of the Bands is tonight! But a thunderbird picked now to die & you've been tasked with tracking & protecting it from poachers. Can you be 2 places at once? You are wizards, after all.
Description:
This game is part of a larger RPG campaign set in the Magimundi, a new North American magical universe. It takes place in the Pacific Northwest in the mid-1990’s at the height of the grunge music scene and the Magimundi Vampire Wars. You’re magic school students and bandmates just trying to make the grade and earn some fans. But your bass player is a vampire and there are rival clans seeking to cause trouble. As the Magimundi officials try to keep the peace (or not) and keep the secrecy of the magical and vampire worlds from the eyes of the mundanes, you just want to keep the band together and maybe get a sweet record deal. This is a whimsical and unpredictable magical universe with some serious undertones of conflict between species. The custom system uses Fate dice and is easy to learn. It focuses on roleplay and collaboration to solve problems. Great for teens and up!

Description:
Play a team of lawyers representing the interests of an Outer God of the Cthulhu mythos (Nyarlathotep) while maintaining your ethics and professional responsibility (the actual rules and guidelines from real life).
I will try and get pre-approved CLE credit for lawyers who participate, so email me with what state bar you are a member of so I can get that started. You don't need to know patent law to play, but should at least have a basic understanding of the ABA Model Rules for Professional Conduct.
We will be playing a home-brew system that I am designing that is intended to be intuitive and easy to learn. Characters will be pre-generated by me so we maximize our time, and you can email me at jasonw@pearsonbutler.com if there is something about your character that you specifically want.
On a warm evening, a bus full of travelers journeys on US 95 toward Atlanta. But tonight, the veil between worlds has grown thin. And the sign ahead reads "Welcome to South of the Border."

It's spring 1965. The PC's are rogues who live on the other side of society who have joined together for mutual support now that they know 'Things Not Meant To be Known.' Role playing stressed.
Description:
It's spring 1965. Cold War is brewing between the USA and USSR. There's trouble in the Middle East and South-East Asia. It's less than a generation since the world was at war. On the US home front there are racially charged protests bordering on civil unrest. The PC's are rogues. Some justify their actions to themselves in some manner, others know full well that if it was someone else's story, they would be the villains. Through their continuing investigations they have found out that the world is far more terrible than they have imagined/caused. There are Dark Forces just outside the perceptions of most people who mean to control mankind. The team recently survived a battle in the Egyptian desert . New allies were made and an old enemy dispatched, hopefully for good. But new challenges await. How can they profit personally from these events? Role playing stressed over game mechanics.
