Rex IV has escaped the oppressive Proteus corporation, sought to be slain for reasons he doesn't understand... but the arrogant Alpha Squad has been dispatched to execute him, while his previous team seeks him out to try and save him in their ignorance. Meanwhile, a motley crew of mutants will be caught between, and will have to decide who to help and who to save? After all he's done, can he find a new future? Or should he be condemned for the things he's done?
