It is a turbulent time in the Emerald Empire of Rokugan, where each of the Great Clans uneasily eyes the others, preparing for treachery or violence to erupt at a moment's notice. In these uncertain days, a group of noble youths selected to represent their clans travel to the village of Tsuma where they will celebrate Gempuku, the ceremony which will see them earn their Dai-Sho and the honor of being true Samurai.
