Steam City Saga - Soldiers of the Steam City Underground
Description:
Runnin' gin and keeping the Associates in line is a full time job, but as mafia Soldiers, you do what you're told, and fresh as you are, the Capo is ready to trust you with an important assignment. A made man is geographically inconvenienced, and must be immediately relocated to a more suitable location. Leave few witnesses, cover all tracks leading back to the Boss, and keep an eye out for the Steamcops, capiche?
The children are sick, and there is death among them when the Bear comes. The women are chained to men of the earth. The men are forced to obey the will of the Gentry. It is cold, and there is no hope. There is a cave, past the warren of beasts and the labyrinth of bones, lives a Granter-of-Wishes. We who survive by daring and quickness can make of this danger an opportunity. We can save these people. So we go. Are you coming?
You are one of the powerful and prestigious consultants for Davidson-Oligmueller Group - a DOG! You visit troubled companies and fix them, navigating office politics, punishing the wicked, and protecting the innocent!
You are the watchdogs of the faithful in a wild west that never was. The town of Black Valley has gone horribly wrong. How will you put things right? Do the sinners and the criminals deserve punishment or redemption? You decide.

Dogs in the Vineyard game, but the players are consultants brought in to fix up an office environment rife with feifdoms, bad morale, and incompetent managers. This will be a mix of light-hearted and serious, with Dogs in the Vineyard adapted to the office environment - so most of you already know the setting all too well!
Dogs in the Vineyard game, of course, but set in a New England that never was, circa 1700. See http://www.lumpley.com/games/dogsources.html for general game info, DitV is about moral choices and decisions. This game is for mature players only, please. I do encourage action-adventure gamers in search of a unique experience though - my regular action group loved trying out this game and think most mature RPGers willing to experiment at all would enjoy it.
The players are Watchdogs of the Lord, holy gunslingers with a mandate from the highest religious power to venture into their community and see that justice is done. The congregation is in dire need, sin and pain are a plague throughout the Desert Territory. If the world was a perfect place the Dogs would name babies, deliver mail, and marry folk, but the world ain't perfect, is it?
