Alpha Strike is a miniatures based combined arms mass combat game that uses all the units you know from Battletech. Alpha Strike is designed to let you play larger scale battles (many, many units) in a few hours or a smaller game much quicker. It is also miniatures based which means the board is not hexed like in classic Battletech and instead miniatures rules are used. Likewise, instead of using the 8.5" by 11" record sheet per mech that classic Battletech uses, Alpha Strike uses a playing card size record sheet per unit (though these are often printed on one sheet of paper to save space and organization). This event will teach all of the basics of the Alpha Strike system so you can then feel confident to play on your own or in our other Alpha Strike Events.
