An intermediate introductory scenario using the Axanar setting of Prelude to Axanar. Playing Training Day on Thursday will help you.
Description:
It's early in the third year since the Empire invaded the Federation, and the warrior-races ongoing assaults have, until now, met with haphazard or ill-run defensive forces. It's time for the Federation to lay in a counter attack. A prize of refined warp-crystal has been left in the asteroids of this system, and the feudal nature of the Imperials have scattered their forces, trying to find the prize, while the Federation's new Ares-class strike cruisers hunt them down.

This is a very simple training scenario for Squadron Strike, with small ships with single weapons mounted forward. The players each play a pair of TIE fighters trying to kill X-wings. If you lose both your fighters, we'll hand you two more in a neutral corner to come back for more. Scenario ends when the Imperial Justice has been meted out to the Rebel Scum. Last year, the X-wings lasted 28 turns and killed 17 TIE fighters.
