Description:
In this hands-on seminar, you will make a six-sided (aka 3-D) silicon rubber mold out of pre-cast miniature terrain pieces, something you make out of the clay provided at the beginning of the class, or another non-licensed object you bring with you.. Techniques will be taught for keying in the molds, proper vent placement, etc. Due to time restrictions, attendees must have attended the "Mold Making Basics for Heroic Scale Terrain Pieces" this year or previous years in order to learn the basic techniques of pouring silicon rubber molds. The mold you make is yours to take home, though you have the opportunity to use it before you leave Gen Con in the Resin or Plaster casting classes taught by the same instructor.

This class is great for people who play tabletop wargames such as Warhammer, 40K, 30K, Warmahordes, and other army type games. This class gives you the basics that you need to make your armies more customized in way of changing model positions, change weapons, make weapons and vehicle parts interchangeable, and more. If you are thinking about converting models in general for competition or otherwise, this class can also help give you the confidence to get started. Students can bring a model or vehicle that they would like to work on or get assistance on, but it is not required. Each student receives a reference handout and a couple of magnets to take home. Materials and tools are provided for class
