Polychromatic Shading: Highlighting and Shading your Miniatures with Colour Theory
Summary:
Learn how to enhance your miniatures with the power of colour. Stop highlighting and shading with black and white, and find out what bright and dark colours REALLY are.
Description:
Ready to take your highlighting and shading to the next level? Using black and white is only the first step! Using the basics of colour theory, we can create richer, bolder highlights and shades through the use of complementary and contrasting colours. Ben Carver from Primal Poodle Painting has 20 years of experience painting miniature figures and is here to share some of what he wishes he knew earlier! We will look at the three ways of describing colours (hue, saturation and value) and use these to identify highlight or shadow colours you might not otherwise think of. Each student will receive a miniature to practice with, and paints will be provided as well. Please bring your own brush, as I will not have enough for everyone.
Come watch the champions compete for the title of 'Speediest Brush of the Best'! Winners of previous Reaper Speed Painting rounds compete by invitation only.
