You've always been jealous of us: the few, the proud, the LARP writers. We know it, you know it. This LARP offers you the opportunity to adopt the role of a LARP writer yourself, enrolled in a competition to write the newest, greatest LARP! Please note that you will not be yourself on a LARP writing team, but a character who is a LARP writer (and really, isn't that better?) and a role playing all-star.
About two weeks ago you received a letter in the mail from an old associate. Apparently this letter was to be delivered in case of his demise. The letter requested your presence at a service for him at his home. You've complied, although the letter has left you with less than a positive expectation of the visit. Please note that there is a female character who has some VERY adult issues.
1926. A train departs New York Central headed for Chicago with the biggest mobsters of the Roaring Twenties on board. The FBI is beginning to investigate after several recent shootings made national headlines, and the two families are looking to strike a deal to end their fighting. But it all goes wrong when a US Marshal boards the train. Warning - this event uses risque comedy and is quite crass!
Inspired by Jim Butcher’s The Dresden Files. What do you do when you throw a party for your enemies and they all show up? Magic, Monsters, Mobsters and more will be found in this tale of greed, revenge and redemption. Role-playing stressed.
New Orleans, 1718 - The city of New Orleans, a place of power in the swamps of Louisiana. Is this a possible haven for a supernatural community on the North American continent, where many lesser magical beings have fled from the oppression of the Fey in Europe? Can a haven where humans and supernaturals live in harmony be established? Or will the horrors of the Salem Witch Trials make their way here?
Play a caveman with a severely limited vocubulary! This is a simple LARP, with a medium to low combat rating. Try to communicate with the other players to solve problems, or to create problems for the other tribe.
It’s 1873. Chicago is a city of ashes, silver is worthless, and epidemic disease is killing livestock and people all over the country. The Gilded Age is tarnishing for rich and poor alike. Robber barons, speculators, society ladies, and unsavory individuals will gather within the opulent confines of the 1865 Morris-Butler House, hoping for a chance to change their circumstances.
It is March 1870 in the Steam and Sorcery world of Castle Falkenstein. The glitterati of New Europa are in Paris for the opening of the French Season, and you have been invited to the Grand Vernal Ball. Nobles and gentry, both human and Faerie, will mingle with sorcerers, scientists, artists and demimondaines. Valuable contacts will be made tonight, and perhaps an Assignation or two. But some have a darker agenda. Steam Age costumes welcome.
