So far they have not expanded beyond their currently held territory, but other systems have begun to take notice of the peace and prosperity found within their borders. Somehow this new leadership has ended the lawlessness and poverty that plagued those worlds previously. Now reports have come in that they are rebuilding their military might. Debate rages through the Senate as the Republic tries to decide what to do about this possible threat. There are those who wish to strike out preemptively and prevent the Empire from ever becoming a threat. Others claim that is exactly what the Republic should never do, or they will be no better than the old Empire. A conclave has been called to allow the senate to debate without calling official votes on the floor.
