This is a team teaching, large-scale naval miniatures event for novice/irst-time players. Miniatures provided to play this exciting naval miniatures scenario. Prizes for all who play in the event!
Description:
On 27 November 1940, the Italian fleet attempted to intercept and stop a British convoy and its Royal Navy protection from reaching and resupplying the Island of Malta in the Mediterranean. Italian and British cruisers and battleships engaged in a running gun battle for almost an hour before both forces disengaged as neither side was able to obtain a significant advantage. This teaching game will use ships and a map setup that roughly represents this battle as an introduction to the mechanics of Axis & Allies Naval Miniature game.

An event where each player may play as many 1 on 1 games with other players registered in the tournament during the two 5 hour qualifying rounds on Thursday and Friday. The latest "Advanced Rules" will be used. The top 8 players with the best overall records after the 2 qualifying rounds will play in a Single Elimination (SE) round bracket on Saturday to determine the overall tournament winner. In each game played, players will earn new units to add to their current fleets. All miniatures you receive from this event are yours to keep. All fleets must be 100 pts. or less. Your 100-point fleet requirements: 4 Stater Set units of that side, Minimum of 3 different type of units, No duplicates of any one unit including air support, No Rares, No single unit can be over 21 pts, WotC Units ONLY. Banned Unit: US, F6F-3 Hellcat (Vital Armor 10).
